Joice Scavone is doing her Masters degree in Social Communication – Sound and Image at the Federal University of Fluminense (UFF) in Rio de Janeiro. Her research focuses on sound restoration. As post production coordinator, she took part in the following feature-films: “Rânia”, by Roberta Marques; “The Joy” and “Neverquiet”, both movies directed by Felipe Bragança and Marina Meliande. She has also been dedicated to audiovisual preservation, by working at the film archive of the Audiovisual Technical Center (CTAv) as well as at the Cinematheque of the Museum of Modern Art (MAM) in Rio de Janeiro. In 2008, she has attended the Film Preservation course at the Cinema and TV International School of San Antonio de los Baños – Cuba.
