Adriano D’Aloia (Milan, 1980) is an affiliated research fellow in the Department of Communication and Performing Arts of the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore of Milan, where he received a Ph.D. in film studies for his dissertation on ‘Empathy in the film experience’. He is curator of Rudolf Arnheim, I baffi di Charlot. Scritti italiani sul cinema 1932-1938 (Kaplan, Torino 2009). He published articles on intersubjectivity in the audiovisual experience and on the new forms of cinematic experience in international journals (Screening the Past, Iluminace, Film-Philosophy, Cinéma&Cie, E|C).
